    I have tried a tv capture card with out much luck. It was suggested that I do this internaly with a dvd drive. So what dvd drive would you guys recomend and what software would you recomend I download, and where from?. I have nero 5.5.5.1 which converts AVI to mpeg with no problems. But would it be better if I could rip straight to mpeg?

    u need hradware such as a dvd drive for ya pc:
    pioneer 116 or 106s is good
    n th liteon dvd player is good
    a big hardrive well big enuff

    then go to http://www.doom9.net and read the tutorials n u should be k

    $an1065 covered the hardware (big hdd and fast DVD-ROM)

    but the software should be totally free, best is smartripper, dvd2avi, and tmpgenc.
