Since we've been discussing USB to IDE Cabling I figured I'd ask if anyone has successfully made their own USB to Parallel (DB25) cabling. Anyone have directions on how to do this?

That's a good one. For those old computers without USB.

You can convert from USB to Parallel, but not the other way around.

Attach your parallel printer through a USB port, and leave your parallel port available for parallel scanners or cameras.

Exactly. Anyone here ever make their own home made cabling to do this?

I suppose you could make your own cabling, but since there will be more data pins involved on the parallel side than the serial side, it IS serial after all, you would need special components. After costs, time, and effort are factored in, it would be cheaper just to buy the cable.
