Folder options problem

For some reason when I go to My Computer/Tools/Folder Options, the only tab that is available is the File Type. There used to be a View tab and a couple of others I can't remember. I was wondering if anyone might have any idea what has happened. I'm using XP home with all the service packs and updates.

My view tab has always been a menu option at the top of each folder.

I wasn't referring to that View tab. I was referring to setting up the folder options under Tools.

check for spyware or adware and uninstall if needed, if that doesnt work open regedit, and if there is a value called "NoFolderOptions" then either delete it or set it to 0, then restart. i havent tried this since i never had to, but it seems to work for others. hth

Thanks Duffy, will give that a try. Have check for spy and adware but haven't found any yet.

It's posible that you've got a Trojan that changed your settings.

If you need to look through all your files, you can use a great Free File Managment Utility called A43. You can get it here:
