    Hi.

    I have the following problem:

Say I try to make a DVD containing something that has been aired on TV. I use DVD-lab Pro to make the DVD as I want it, and it comes out fine. I put it in my (kind of crappy) DVD Player and both the video and audio play just fine.
But if I try to backup my tapes, the sound is not fine. I follow the same steps, and the DVD seems (and plays) okay if I check it on the computer, but ONCE I PUT THE DVD IN THE DVD PLAYER, THERE IS NO SOUND!
(To make it clear, I can hear the audio with PowerDVD, but I can't hear the audio on my DVD Player.)

I don't understand why that is. And it is so frustrating, because then the back up does not do me much good, without sound!

    Can anyone help, please?

    Hi. Thanks for the reply.

    I got no idea. AC3, I guess?...

What I do is: I use a DVD Recorder to record from TV/VCR, and then I copy the files to my PC and then I use DVD-lab Pro. (The reason why I do this is because the DVDs made with the DVD Recorder freeze when I put them in my DVD Player and press 'Play'.)

And another thing I recently found out: If I put the DVDs I make from VHS in a PlayStation 2, I can hear the sound. But my DVD Player for some reason can't handle it.

But there has to be a problem there, because I never encountered problems when playing original DVDs, or DVDs made from TV. So I think there has to be an extra step I should follow when making DVDs from VHS. I just got to figure out what I should do.
