I have transferred a lot of mini-dv vids to my pc and they played fine without any problems. Since the time I transferred them, I have formatted my hard-drive a couple of times.
Now when I play the dv vids, they are all playing in slow motion.
I have installed a few dv codecs and nothing seems to help........does anyone have a clue as to why this has happened? or does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks.![]()

Check to make sure your drive didn't get switched back to PIO instead of DMA.

How would I go about doing that?
I have tried going into device manager and right clicking on it there and found nothing about DMA.
I also tried it through my computer but still no luck.

Go into device manager and select IDE Controllers. Select Primary IDE Channel, right-click and select Properties, click on the Advanced Tab, and check the trasnfer mode. Click OK and repeat for the Secondary IDE Channel. If any of them show up as PIO report back.

They are both already on DMA.
Thanks for replying, by the way. =]
