Is there a way or setting using MainConcept MPEG Encoder without zooming the resolution?

In tmpgenc I just tell it its a 16:9 source video and to output to 16:9. There should be a similar setting in mainconcept. Though I've never used so I can't say. But just choose 16:9 in tmpgenc and it will preserve the aspect correctly (assuming you also select full screen mode 1)

Are you trying to create a DVD ? If so, you must output to a DVD compliant resolution. Only full/cropped D1 supports 16:9, so if you want 16:9 enhanced you must resize up to this resolution. If you want to your video to remain the same size, you could add a border around it to bring the total reoslution up to full spec, ot you can keep it letterboxed instead, and look at a lower resolution.

Final option, get a player that plays back Divx/Xvid avi files and don't convert it at all.
