  1. I'm trying the Allok video splitter. I have a concert video, 53 minutes, about 800,000 kb. I want to take a 10 minute song out of the video in order to send it to someone by email, as the original file is much to large.

I mark the segment. It takes almost 3 hours for the program to extract the clip. (isn't this a bit long?) But most amazing of all, the 'extracted' clip of 10 minutes, is now a larger file size than the original. Over 897,000 kb! How is this mathematically possible? And what would be the point?

Anyone use this program, or recommend me an avi splitter that actually extracts a segment and makes the file size an appropriate smaller percentage of the original?
