    I have a mpeg file i recored from my video camera, ist only five minutes long, but its about 200mb, can someone please tell me how ic an make the file size smaller?

    By encoding it at a lower bitrate. If you want to keep it mpg, use an mpeg encoder like TMPGEnc. If you want an AVI, use avi.net or AutoGK or similar.

    You could use Windows Media Encoder and convert to wmv.

    For computer playback only, it's WME or avi.net/AutoGK that are your best options.
