I recently built a home theatre room with a DLP projector. I would like to add the DLP trailer (available from dlp.com as a quicktime file) to every DVD backup I create and have it play automatically when I put it in the player (forced). Any suggestions? Normally I rip with DVD Decrypter and burn on a DL disc (no compression) using Clone DVD 2. Would I need Quicktime Pro to first save the DLP trailer and then convert? I have DVD Shrink which I think I would use for the reauthoring. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to use tmpgenc with the quicktime plugin to convert it to a mpeg file with dvd specs.

If you use shrink you will lose the menus. If this isn't a problem, go ahead.

Might try VobBlanker or other DVD editing tools to replace one of the short clips that plays at the beginning of near every commercial DVD?
