Usually when I have off sync videos they are due to vbr encoded mp3 streams and I know how to fix that. This is a different kind of off sync problem though.

The video plays perfectly synced with the audio for the first 35 minutes then all the sudden after a scene change at the last 5 minutes it gets off sync. Any ideas how to fix this?

this is an avi file btw

  2. Sounds like the source dropped a ton of video frames at the last 5 minute point.

Same as most sync problems, you need to adjust either the audio or the video to the same length. If it's AVI, drop it into VDMod and find where the frames are lost, if that's the problem.

You may be able to chop out the bad section and that may be enough. Or you may have to separate out the audio and pad or cut some on it, then mux it back in. While in VDMod, check the lengths of the video and audio and you may be able to tell what the offset is right away.
