    Hi,

I am tired of searching ways to convert VOB to AVI file that can be edited in Premiere.

How can I convert VOB to AVI file with the best quality that can be used?

    Regards,
    Uriel

    Hi p_uriel,

You'll be pleased to know it's quite straightforward:

    1) Download and install the Panasonic DV Codec (free), if you don't already have it.

Install instructions are on the download page (from memory) and it works well with the tool we're gonna use.

    2) Download and install VirtualDubMod (free).

    3) Load the VOB file into VirtualDubMod.

    4) Save as a DV AVI using the Panasonic DV Codec.

    Done.

    Good luck.
