cannot install nero

I don't know what happen but i can't install nero 5.5 onto my computer and i kept recieved this message
"The wizard was interrupted before Nero - burning rom could be completely unstalled.
Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run set up again.

Click finish to exit the wizard."
what can i do to completely install nero onto my computer?

Did you already have another piece of burner software on your PC? For instance, EZ CD Creator?

You must be trying to install a version of Nero => 5.5, correct?

if you have directx8.0 installed on your comp it might be interupting it. not sure if other versions of directx give it a problem tho, because i had x8 and it wouldn't install because of it, so i decided to keep direct x and install easy cd creator.
