Is it possible to set chapter's duration?

Hi folks,

I've got a question... Is it possible to set chapter's duration? I have authored several DVDs of our family holidays (all with menus, chapters and subtitles) in Ulead DVD Workshop, so I am not newbie. But now I thought up to do something I've never done:

I've got DVD with only one title and about 20 chapters... I'd like to have menu with two buttons, one for playing the whole movie, and the second one, for playing only some parts (three or four) of the main movie. For example to play from 0:12:35 to 0:20:24, then jump to 0:49:50 and play again till 1:01:06 and so on... It's not problem to use chapters to start playing at 0:12:35, but it plays until the end of movie. I know it could be done by cutting the main movie into more parts, and then using titles instead of chapters, but then, when you play the whole movie, there is short stop between titles, so it's not good solution for me.

Can anybody help?

Dvdauthorgui will do that for you. It's free, easy to use and is listed in the tools section of this site.

First of all... thank you very much for your advice... I've downloaded the application, installed it and tried it out with the help of enclosed documentation... It really doesn't look to be easy and it's deffinitely not user friendly, but I would like to give it a try, but I cannot find any solution for my problem in that. As I stated above, I've read the documentation... would you mind telling me how to programm the button to play chapter2, skip chapters 3-5 and to continue playing with chapter 6?

In Ulead DVD Workshop, there is ability to attach more commands to button, but in DVDauthorgui, there you can set the only one command to button... please, help me.

That looks to be exactly my problem, and it looks to be explained very well and detailed. And the best thing is that I can use my DVD Workshop for authoring and then only change some commands using this PGCedit. It really looks to be great help! Thank you very much! I'm gonna try it.
