There's already a number of units on the market (see www.pvp4u.com for many) however there isn't a source for indexed reviews of the players like Vcdhelp does for dvd players, writers, media etc.
Anybody else think this would be useful?

Useful yes. But it's so much work to add all player information ...maybe time to hire someone that can add new list information 24/7.
-
So you don't believe the work is "fun" enough to attract volunteers if you asked? Or is it a matter of reliability?
How much time do you have to spend on VH each day?
What does $100 / new pvp mean?? $100 per listing?
You should know there is one constant criticism about VH. That you leave some emails and PM's either unanswered or are slow to respond. Given the size and success of VH and its potential, perhaps an active business partner might be of more use than hiring a "slave"? -
I don't know how to hire someone...never done that.
An active business partner might be a good idea. Someone that is better "businessman", contact person then I'm...you could probably do a lot a more to increase the income and add more information to the site.
and I don't answer all emails, I try...best is to email me until I do...and I'm slow to respond to everyone not just videohelp emails. -
On alot of sites I visit they put out hiring calls to long time members/mods who meet the critia that they're looking for. They also post the job on sites like monster.com but often they end up hiring someone they know off the site. It does make sense since with a long time poster/mod you already know them to a point and can see the "type" of person you want based on their posts.
At the very least, from a business angle, I'd set up affilate programs with stores like amazon.com, ebay, barnes and noble.com etc along with Google Adwords. Easy as pie to do and it's brings in a decent amount of coin.Day Dreamin' about John Waters...again.
