Sad to report this, new batch of Prodisc 8x: blue shrink wrap, code (ProdiscS04), has very very coarse print surface. The result is grainy, faint, ugly looking. Very very sad. Prodisc was once the best on print surface, so smooth and whiter. Oh, well, after more than 1000 disc, seeing quality is getting worse and worse; good-bye Prodisc.
Edit,
I have been using MCC, Prodisc. Ritek and TY. Some people like pretty cover, some people want longivaty. It really depends what my client request. No a brand bashing, just a head-up.

I thought Prodisc manufactured the disc for company X.
Company X then takes said disc and applies printable surface so the manufacture dye is nothing to do with the top surface.
Over the years i've had good Ritek printables and poor Ritek printables. The dye quality is consistant but the print quality is the variable.
For the record, i'm not big-upping Prodisc.
Ha-do-KenAttack me if you dare...I will crush you.
