I am a newbie at this, so any help will be appreciated.

Here is what I want to do.

I want to take a DVD I own, rip it, edit it, and burn it to DVD again.

I want to edit out some profanity (F-bombs) and nude scenes to make it more family friendly. I want to preserve as much quality as I can. I also want to preserve the 5.1 sound for my home theater system.

Is it possible? What software do I need?

    Thanks for your help,

    Ccoolman

I'd suggest a forum search on the words "remove swearing" ....... and by the way, you might wanna duck before the "rest" of the crew get here
    If in doubt, Google it.
