Hi, I make my own home DVD's and the current one (my two Border Collies) is complete except for a bit of music set in the background.

The problem I have is finding a suitable track - how do you find the "right" track and have you any tips for helping me to find the right track to suit the action?

I'm NOT looking for links to illegal download sites - just a method of finding (then purchasing) the right stuff.

    Many thanks

    Tony

Music is so subjective, only you can decide what's the "right" track, but check out Bill Cushman's work at http://ghostnotes.blogspot.com/
If his work isn't to your liking, do a google search for "Royalty Free Music".

check out the different versions of Acid (some are even free lately after rebate). Sony provides several samples at acidplanet I think, some come with the prog., and a large selection available. At any rate, should be guaranteed to get what you like.

  4. Y-Not,
Freeplaymusic.com has a lot of nice music and has some good descriptions of the beat and mood you may be seeking. I use the site all the time for DVD menu music ect.
Play with it a little and you might find what you're looking for.

  5. Magnatune.com is good for all types of music - read the Creative Commons license for the song in question.

Sounddogs.com has a huge collection of royalty-free music, but some tunes can be pricey as they are priced according to the fact that they might end up in commercials and films.
