I just burned a video to DVD. I converted it to DVD MPEG format using WinAVI Video Converter. I burned it using CDBurnerXP Pro. It will not play on any of my stand-alone DVD players. When I try to play it on my DVD-Rom, Windows Media Player gives me the following error:

"Windows Media Player cannot play DVD video. Open Display in Control Panel, and then lower your screen resolution and color quality settings. To view the DVD Troubleshooter, click More Information."

I don't have a clue what the problem is here. CDBurnerXP Pro gave me the option to burn the disc as Joliet, ISO 1, or ISO2, I left it on Joliet which I believe it was set to by default. It also gave me the option to burn it as a bootable disc, I chose non-bootable. Does anyone have any suggestions, ideas, or input?

FWIW, checked the software site, didn't see any docs -- help file installed with app... Generally you take your mpg2, import it into a DVD authoring prog., then a) create layout on HD, b) burn to DVD, c) create DVD image file. Burning software I've used always gave option of DVD video, which is different format if you will from plain data DVD/CD. Suggest you check guides, stickies, posts on burning for how-to's, tips etc.
