My LiteOn LVW-5005 standalone DVD burner makes good DVD copies of VHS tapes, but using Nero 6.6.0.18 version with Pioneer DVR-107D to make copies of DVDs burned with the LiteOn LVW-5005 results in a DVD that plays but appears to have a haze on the images displayed on the TV. DVDShrink seems to not recognize the video format on the DVDs created on the LiteOn LVW-5005, and the only way I've found to make multiple good copies is to play the VHS multiple times to make multiple copies on the LiteOn LVW-5005 which is very time consuming. Is There a way to make good copies of standalone burner DVDs using a DVR writer on a PC?

    DVDDecrypter
ISO Read Mode(place the image on your HD)
ISO Write Mode (burn that image back to a blank DVD)
    Done

Can more copies be made from the DVDDcryptor written disc by doing "copy DVD" in Nero, or must the DVDDecryptor procedure be used for all copies desired?

    No.
Once the ISO image of the DVD is on your computer's Hard Drive....just keep burning enough copies until you are done....then delete the ISO image.

The DVDDecrypter procedure suggested gives I/O read error at 34% completed status. Have any ideas for cause or fix for this problem?

First attempt to read ISO mode failed on system with NEC 3520A writer. Second attempt to read ISO mode on same system failed after uninstalling and reinstalling DVDDecrypter. Third and final attempt on system with Pioneer 107D writer to read and write ISO mode succeeded with no problems. Obviously all writers must not be equal in ability to read media! Thanks for the info that finally worked once a writer was found that could read the disc.

  7. Other possibilities:

    Poor quality media

Your NEC drive didn't like your particular media

    Just throwin' it out there.
