I'm using Vegas 6.0 to put together AMVs, and I usually save the file as an MPEG2, which typically was very nice quality wise, but was more than 100MB... I'd like to render to a file for distribution that's less than 100MB, without having to sacrifice most of the video quality. I really don't know what I'm doing with this, so I've basically been playing hit and miss with the codecs. The best results for small size and quality have been with Xvid, but it still shows significant qualtiy loss. What paramaters should I use to render the file? Any advice I could get would be very helpful as I'm shooting blind when it comes to this stuff.

  2. DivX or Xvid is the way to go.
If done correctly a DVD movie can be put on a CD with similiar quality to the DVD using either DivX or Xvid as the codec. Check the guides here at VideoHelp.com for how-to's for this.
    Good Luck.
