    Well I may be asking for tips myself soon as I'm anticipating my first complex CAPTY project!
    Got the LaCie Fastcoder = refurb for $49.95, seems Fastcoder and Capty software are no longer on LaCies product list, unfortunately.

    Your questions are welcome. One thing to know is do not use MPEG video clips in the motion menus. This makes the video in the menus go very fast. You need to use DV or full-quality QuickTime video in the menu. What I do is use MPEG streamclip to trim a 30 or 60 second clip from an MPEG file and export it to DV for use in the CaptyDVD menu.

    Another tip not mentioned in CaptyDVD help is when making chapter markers. Be sure to place a marker at the beginning of the video because playback starts at the first marker.
