I have two movies in VIDEO_TS folders containing .VOB .IFO they are in svcd format. Any way of converting for dvd without too much loss in quality?

Try burning them to disc as they are and see if they will play. Assuming your stand alone will play SVCD, there is no conversion needed.

    Thanks KRISPY KRITTER,
I may have to try this but I really wanted both of them on one disc and tried to use TMPGENC dvd author, Thats when I found out I had encoded for SVCD not DVD. The files where originally in .BIN and .CUE and I used Badgersoft's SVCD2DVD and got back SVCD resolution (used wrong settings somewhere). Also my standalone makes a real racket when playing SVCD so would prefer DVD but....

There are a few guides on combining and converting SVCD to DVD, and you should be able to use your new files or the originals.
