    What kind of movie?
Probably, it's a matter of turning the speaker balance fully left or fully right.

Or more specifically, WHICH PLAYER are you using? Sometimes, it's the matter of getting a better player.

I've seen a few Chinese VCDs like that. (Cantonese on one channel and Mandarin on the other channel.) Hopefully the file you have isn't a mono mix. If it is, there is nothing you can do.

Sounds like whoever encoded it from VCD didn't bother to separate the tracks. Lousy *******s.

Use the mixer and turn balance all to the way to left or right.

On most DVD players, the [AUDIO] stream change feature has 2 different modes of operation.

1-DVD (and possibly SVCD) mode: pressing [AUDIO] changes the stream/language encoded (from 1 up to possibly 8 on DVD, up to possibly 4 on SVCD)
2-VCD/CDDA mode: pressing [AUDIO] changes the output from Stereo to Mono to LeftOnly to RightOnly

    Does your player work differently?
