  1. Hey I have my tv hooked up to my computer so I can play video on my tv and I've been trying to use media player classic, but the part where the video should be on my tv appears black. I remember having this problem with regular windows media player and I turned down the video acceleration and that solved the problem. Is there something you can do like this for media player classic? I can see the rest of my computer screen perfectly, it's just the part where the video should be that is black.

    Thanks a ton

You want to check your video card settings, especially 'Overlay'; Display settings, Monitor settings.

You should have a manual for your video card that will explain all this.

  3. Yeah I fixed it. Does turning the acceleration way down affect the video playback? Because sometimes on very fast scenes with MPEG4 video, I get lines through the movie. I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about.

    Thanks

It disables hardware overlay, which was the issue. The overlay was active for your main monitor, giving you black on the secondary. Hardware overlay will use less resources than software. You could also try setting MPC's output to VMR7/9.
