    What, specifically?

If it's a few lines that need tweaking, post 'em.
If it's beyond that, I get paid

  2. It seems to be a problem with the menu component. I am using a menu bar with menus populated by an XML file. The menu is used to load draggable swf files, however something funky is happening to the loaded clip which does not happen if it is run independenty.

If you click on a movieclip and drag it, it drags fine. The problem is if you click on the movieclip, but then dont move the mouse, if you then click again in the same place the hand icon changes the the arrow icon and the clip cannot be dragged. To enable the clip to be dragged the mouse has to be moved over the clip and then clicked again, draggin can then commence.

I have put together a little demo to illustrate the problem here

  4. I think I can do better than that.

    Right, first link
    https://www.videohelp.com/~craigtucker/Flash/Demo1/menubar.html

This is a very simple menubar and menu component with no draggable movieclips initially on the stage. Click on file then load and a square is loaded onto the stage. Click and drag the square, it drags fine. Now click on the square release the mouse button without moving the mouse and click again, it is now not draggable. Release the mouse and move it over the square and once again the square can be dragged.

    Second link

This is essentially the same but with one small difference the swf with the menu already has a draggable square loaded onto the stage. Click and drag the square and it behaves exactly as expected.without the problem mentioned in the first example.
Now load the square using the menu as shown in the first example, the same problem is back, but not only to the movieclip that was loaded by the menu, but also to the movieclip that already existed on the stage.

The fla's for the first example along with the xml file for the menu are in the zip file whose url is posted in my earlier post.
