    Hmmm... This one is tough, as Amazon used a LOT of tricks to hide the URL. The player itself is in Flash, so there's no media URL anywhere. And player is embedded in an IFrame, itself in a DIV frame. I can tell you that my DNS records says that a fetch to streamos.com was done. Two separate subdomains in fact. However, I don't know Flash well enough to be able to figure out the URL.

  4. Excellent. Now how did you capture the flash video?

  5. Just click on the link I gave and download the file. If you install the Riva FLV Encoder it also installs an FLV player.

  6. I realize that and appreciate it. How can I download the clip myself?

  9. If you want to know how I got the link to the file:

    After opening the page you linked to I right clicked on the Amazon Fishbowl Highlights link and selected Copy Shortcut. I then opened Notepad and pasted the link.

    From that I could see one of the arguments was a link to a playlist:

    xmlURL=http://images.amazon.com/images/G/01/features/fishbowl/jan-fish-highlights.playlist.html

    Pasting the link into Internet Explorer loaded what appeared to be a blank page. Using View -> Source I saw the following:

    Code:
    <serverSettings serverAddress="rtmp://fh.streamos.com/streamos" checkBandwidth="true" />
    <films>
        <film active="true" clipName="No Name" fmaLocation="http://images.amazon.com/images/G/01/features/fishbowl/fish_slate.jpg" streamType="progressive">
            <defaultStream streamName="http://boss.streamos.com/download/amazon/sundance/jan-fish-highlights384.flv" vidWidth="320" vidHeight="240" />
            <lowBitRateStream streamName="http://boss.streamos.com/download/amazon/sundance/jan-fish-highlights56.flv" vidWidth="160" vidHeight="120" />
            <mediumBitRateStream streamName="http://boss.streamos.com/download/amazon/sundance/jan-fish-highlights112.flv" vidWidth="240" vidHeight="180" />
            <highBitRateStream streamName="http://boss.streamos.com/download/amazon/sundance/jan-fish-highlights384.flv" vidWidth="320" vidHeight="240" />
            <advert streamName="http://boss.streamos.com/download/amazon/sundance/jan-fish-highlights384.flv" vidWidth="320" vidHeight="240" />
        </film>
    </films>
    You can see the links to three versions of the FLV file.

    An alternative, and free, FLV file player can be downloaded here.
