    I have a Canon DM-MV30ie camcorder. I put a head cleaning tape into it the other day, and got a message saying: "Please Remove Tape".
    When I try to eject the tape, the tape mechanism moves about 3mm out, and then stops, not ejecting the tape.

    So, my question is how do I get the tape out. I don't mind if the tape gets destroyed. I asked some guy at a camera shop, and he reconed it would cost $200, which seems way too expensive to me.

    Anyone had experience with this kind of problem?

    try another store then...you're on the right track...don't force it yourself...have a pro repair store get it out.
