hi, ive tried to convert a tv series from xvid to dvd format using nero vision 4, nero converted it then burnt it stright on to a dvd, when i played it back the sound was out of sync with the picture, i have tried it again but this time i converted the xvid files and then saved them to my hard drive first before burning onto a dvd, this worked a little better but one of the episodes was still out but the other 3 episodes were fine, is there a way to fix this problem. please bear in mind that im new to converting video formats etc, any advice would be appreciated. thanks

oh i made sure that there was less than 3 hours of playback on the dvd that i burnt to, as i beleive that any more drastically effects the quality

Without knowing a bit more about your XVIDs we're playing crapshoot. So tell us about the XVIDs by using GSpot... The one that worked fine vs. the ones that didn't...

Check it in Gspot for MP3 VBR audio. If so, drop it into VirtualDub Mod and extract the sound to WAV audio, then use the new audio to encode with, along with the original video. See here:

AC3 audio can also cause problems at times.
