    I have the Sansui VRDVD4005 as stated above and wanted to find out if anyone knows of a firmware hack for this unit. In particular, to allow it to record in a 3-hr mode and +R/RW disks would be nice. If I remember correctly, the drive it uses is a Pioneer +/- R/RW unit.

    I searched the forum but was not able to locate a hack for this unit.

    There are no hacks for 4005 but there is a disc from england that removes the macro & gives it no region, but very expensive.
