I am using the freeware version(1.2.3 build1) of svcd2dvd(avi2dvd) and trying to encode an avi. film to dvd.
All seems to be going well untill it reaches 97% then my TrendMicro anti-spyware kicks in and crashed the program, so i disabled it and tried again, this time my Anti-virus AVG kicks in and and i get messages that the virus vault is full and email scanner is not functioning etc, so i disable that.
However when it reaches 97% again the proggy just freezes and i have to stop program via the task manager.
I have waited for about 30mins to see if anything happens, but sadly it does not
I have scanned the film and svcd2dvd with anti-spyware and my AV and nothing shows up.
The film has been scanned for bad frames with vdub and i have the right codecs.
Has anyone got any ideas why this is happening?

Not the right forum, and yeah, sounds like you need to do some system cleanup pronto!

As i said ive scanned for spyware and viruses and it all came back clear though .

Perhaps if you ask in the right forum, other may have had similar experiences as you had with that application, & can offer better advice.

If you try a short test vid, something you know is good or create from scratch or whatever (can even just be all black frames), and it encodes, you'll know at least the encoder's working.
Might also watch task mgr or other monitoring software carefully to see if any other processes are starting up or working (you'll see cpu or memory changing for a process in task mgr). That might give some clues.
General housekeeping like virus and spyware scans of your entire drives wouldn't be a waste of time. Also are you by chance turning off net access by locking firewall? I've seen that cause prob with video software, & learned to disable adaptor in XP instead.
