    Hi
When I play my AVI movie in windows media the sound is in sync.I converted the avi xvid file to VCD using Allok converter.Split it with tmpgenc.Burned it using Nero7 on to VCD.When I play it the sound is in sync at first but as it plays on it gets further and further out of sync.Sound comes to early. How Do I fix it?
I did this with another AVI XVID and all played well so Im sure it is the original file.

Probably VBR audio in the problem AVI. Convert to CBR and do it over. Common problem.

First you want to check your video with a program like Gspot. Look for MP3 VBR audio to the lower right. VBR= Variable Bit Rate as opposed to CBR=Constant Bit Rate. VBR audio is usually not read properly by an encoder and ends up converted to the wrong length.

You can drop it into a program like VirtualDub Mod and it will tell you right away if you have VBR. Then you save it out as a WAV and use that in your encoder for the audio source, along with the original video.

AC3 audio can also cause problems if not handled properly.
