I use lordsmurf's guide for using PowerVCR II to capture video at 352x480 for easy authoring on to DVD.

However, I blew up my registry a while ago. I reset the appropriate registry keys according to lordsmurf's guide. But after capturing a few things and then trying to author them, I found that they got captured as 176x480! Now TMPGEnd DVD Author won't recognise them.

I've fixed PowerVCR II and tested it, and I'm now capturing at 352x480 again. But is there any way to "upconvert" the stuff I captured at 176x480 to 352x480 so I can burn them? I don't care if the quality isn't as great; it's just stuff I've taped off broadcast.

    Thanks!

Yeah programs like tmpgenc can reencode it to half d1. Just specify that resolution for the output and it should work.
