I have a NEC ND3500AG dvd burner that burns double layer discs. I purchased some Ridata DVD-RDL double Layer discs but Nero doesn't seem to recognize the whole 8.5g storage capacity. It only recognizes the normal DVD size. Did I buy the wrong media? Thanks in advance!

Too little info. Which firmware are you using? Which Nero version number are you using?

2.16 is the shipped firmware for the 3500. Download the latest 2.19 or 2.1a firmware for greater media compatibility and fully supported 4x DL write strategies.

The NEC 3500 will burn DVD+RDL but not DVD-RDL.

Liggy & Dee do not list any firmware updates for the 3500 to burn DVD-RDL media.
