    Hello
My son has a lot of animes that he downloaded and wanted burned to DVD. In trying to get as many as possible on DVD and in episode order
running into problems with different codecs/video resolution. Maybe even audio but not sure on that
    Most are DivX3 Low Motion.
However there are some with different codecs. Like S-MPEG4 v3.
Some are 640x480 and others 512x384
In each folder is anywere from 15 to 25 files.

So using MovieFactory2 or The Film or even avi2dvd choke due to these incompatibilites.

Is there a program or something that can be done to make them all the same video resolution/video codec etc. ?

Also why is it what using the file explore all the files in a directory will add up to say 4.2gig but when I put them into MovieFactory I can only get 4 of them (each file is about 175.500KB). The disk indicator says 4.2 gig after just 4 files. ?

    Thanks
    Mark

Why - he gave you the answer - DivxtoDVD, and some sage advice. Most of what is available for download is a) in contravention of the rules of this site to discuss because it is copyright material, and b) is of dubious quality, especially when expanded to DVD resolutions.

It is also obvious by you post that you have so far only tried the path of least resistence in what will only result in a low quality outcome. A little more time and searching on your part would have delivered to you the answers you seek, but they all involve multiple tools and a lot more effort on your part. The results of which would be a substantially better quality output. If you want the results to be more than a blur of ugly pixels, I'd suggest reading this guide -> http://members.dodo.com.au/~jimmalenko/AVI2DVD.htm

You would have to follow it for each seperate clip, and it will take quite some time, but if you wan't something watchable. . . . . . .

Well, from reading your question you clearly can't be bothered to put in more than minimum amount of effort necessary, so the old saying goes... You get what you put in. And since you ain't gonna put much in...
