  2. Which version/build are you using? Make sure you are using the latest release.
    Is there a log file or error message?
    What is the audio format of the .mp4?

    Thanks.

  7. I have never used this type of file (mp4). My suggestion would be to try and open the file in VirtualDub (I don't know if it's supported). If the file plays in VirtualDub, try saving it with WAV audio (video = direct stream copy, audio = full processing mode). You will enup with a larger file that you may now be able to use in SVCD2DVD.

    mp4 should be ok.. But there may be some issues with the audio as stated. Can you use something like mediainfo or avicodec to deduce the video and audio type so i can gauge the issue?
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

    Ok, I used mediainfo:
    3GPP: 1.21 GiB, 1h 50mn
    1 video stream: H.265
    1 audio stream: AAC LC

    Unfortunately, the latest build of VirtualDub (version 1.6.14) does not support .mp4 files.

  11. As far as I remember AAC audio is not supported by SVCD2DVD.

  14. I'm having a similar problem, but the error is not from SVCD2DVD. When I pick an asset that is an MP4 file, I get an ffmpeg.exe error.

    I had to dload ffmepg in order to get WMP to play MP4 files (and they play just fine), so I'm not sure why it would crash when an MP4 file is added as an asset to SVCD2DVD.

    I just dloaded and installed the latest build BTW...so no need to ask ChrissyBoy

    Oh yeah...I checked the MP4 file using AVICodec and all I glenaded from that was the audi and video codecs were unknown

    Any insight would be handy as my assets are just taking up drive space right now.

    Cheers

  15. As above, it's probably AAC audio. Check the files with Gspot.

    Try MPC and then look at the properties (File->Properties)
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

    Thanks ChrissyBoy....that worked and confirmed AAC for audio:

    Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 576x320 [GPAC ISO Video Handler]
    Audio: AAC 24000Hz stereo 62Kbps [GPAC ISO Audio Handler]

    So is there a way around this?

    TIA

    Cheers

    Any update on when SVCD2DVD will be able to handle AAC audio? I'm running into more and more of these H264/AVC/.mp4 files that have that. It's tempting to download them because the quality is so good and the size is so small but the extra processing I have to do to them to get them to work with SVCD2DVD isn't worth it.
