  1. I got a Panasonic DMR-e55 off of eBay and it works great. It came with a universal remote instead of the orginal. Is there any way to change the recording mode without an original Panasonic remote?

If not, I guess I'll have to fork over the $30+ to get one.

    Thanks.

  2. Here's another question...

If I were to buy the N2QAKB000010 Panny remote. Could I use that to teach my learning universal remote the recording mode buttons and then use it with the dmr-e55?

  3. Get a e55 remote from Ebay.com it has a lot of special buttons on it that you won't find on another type of remote. You might be able to order one from Panasonic.

  4. You didnt say what universal remote it is. If the uni remote will program advanced codes you can program the recording mode function to a button. The advanced code for record mode is 105

  5. It's a Philips Universal Learning Remote (PM625S). I looked through the manual...doesn't seem like it does the advanced coding.
