Hi, apologies if this has been answered. I did a quick search and didn't find it.

I'm wondering if there is a tool out there that will let me put in a DVD and pull the chapter stops out of the main movie, then dump them into a format that DVD Lab can read (like .chp file). I was hoping that DVD shrink could do this but it can't AFAIK.

My current project is two movies that I'm trying to rip down to one. Cutting off extras and so on. The issue is that I want to maintain the chapter stops without spending 20 mins finding good places to stop.

    Current setup:
    Rip: DVDShrink
    Demux: ReJig
    Author: DVD Lab
    Burn: Nero
    Burner: Lite On LDW 411S
    OS: XP

    Thanks!

I went to the tools section and typed 'chapter' in the search field and got this https://www.videohelp.com/tools?toolsearch=chapter&Submit=Search&s=&orderby=Name&hits=5...s=&listuser=#7

Man, that was so easy even I could have done it... Thanks.

Edit: I did try it out but it didn't work really well. It definitely didn't grab the stops correctly. There were two chapters that were within 1s of each other.

That can happen depending on how the disc was authored. Some aoftware allows the combining of seperate clips into a single title and puts a chapter stop at the end of one clip and the beginning of the next.

Worst case, edit out anything that looks obviously wrong using notepad. You will still be ahead of the game.
