I've had the Pioneer A05 drive for 3 yrs now and it has worked ever since day one until recently when I got a new system with the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual core 3800+, new hard drive, motherboard, graphics card.
I move the DVD burner to my new computer. Now, when I try to burn anything it gives me some stupid Session Fixation error.
I've installed CD Rom drives tons of times, and I know what I'm doing. what am I missing? is the drive damaged or dieing out?
I so far have had this problem on Ridata CD-R's. And it only begun today. It wasn't giving me any problems before the new system.
Could the Dual core processor be the culprit?
I use Nero.

I would suspect Nero first and maybe then the drive. Try a different burning program. Are you just burning or are you using Nero for what it does worst, encoding? DVDs or CDs?
What is the exact text of the error? Try a Google search for it.
EDIT: Apparently, it most commonly appears to be an error with the media itself. Try a different brand.
