I need some help getting started with digital video. I am in the following situation at work. My company uses VCR's to record cctv video and has decided to switch over to DVR's to record our video. I do all my company's dubbing /editing of this analog type video. I will still have video recorded on VCR's (this video will be recorded in a multiplexer format, 16/8/4 shots recorded on 1 VHS tape) and I will have video recorded on the DVR's. We will not totally convert over to all DVR's for at least another year. I will still have to produce video on 3 types of media; VHS tape/CD-R/DVD. I will also need to combine analog and digital video to create 1 video. I could use some help with suggetions on Hardware/PC configuration (processor speed/Ram/HDD size etc) and software.
