    Hi,

I am trying to create a VCD (NTSC) of digital video from my camcorder (JVC GR-DVL815).

I am using Ulead Video Studio 5 and WinOnCD Pro. I can capture OK (using capture settings from the camcorder 720x480, 29.97 fps DV I think) but when I save to MPEG1 using the VCD NTSC template (352x240 29.97 fps) then burn to CD using WinonCD Pro, the resulting VCD is very pixelated and blocky. I have also tried a couple of other rendering apps using the VCD NTSC templates and they seem to do a similar thing. I am sure I am missing something important but can't figure out what is wrong. Surely the VCD NTSC templates should give the correct settings for a good quality VCD??? The bitrates appeards to be correct at 1150Kbs.

Any suggestions would be greatfully received
