I have a older video on a vhs tape..Used to have sound but now I only hear a snipet of sound when it starts..then no sound..anyone have a clue on how to get the sound to come back or what happened to it

I remember hearing that you should store your tapes on end to prevent this audio corruption from happening. Not sure exactly though of why it happens, does the tape get demagnatized or what?
If this is the case, then you probably will never get your audio back.
But of course as listed above, make sure of tracking and try another VHS player.
