Trying to achieve best quality for viewing DV on plasma 43"
Have Adobe Premiere Pro and Canoplus Procoder.
    Editing is not soo important.
Can I achieve a TV picture without quality loss
    if:
    1-Capture with Premiere
2-Encode with Premiere with Procoder plugin.
    3-Write to DVD with Premiere?

    I have also Nero 7.

    Any other suggestions ?

    Thanks .

Encode with a constant bitrate (CBR) at around 8400kbps and you should get pretty close to the original quality.

    Is that total bitrate guns1inger?

I have had great results with constant bitrate (cbr) 8000kbps video with 1536kbps LPCM audio gives you EXACTLY 1 hour on a Dvd. For help with el cheapo dvd players, you could go 8000kbps video with 448kbps AC3 audio. This latter config is pretty much what the new dvd camcorders announced at CES for 2006 are outputting with unusually good quality.

Video only. I don't generally use LPCM audio as the quality coming from most camcorder mics doesn't warrant it. AC3 at 224 for 2.0 channel is ually more than adequate.
