tmpgenc dvd author menu problem

I am using an old version(1.5.13.44) of tmpgenc dvd author to put some tv episodes to disc. I usually use ulead moviefactory3 but it's malfunctioning so I dug out old programs to try. Anyway, all I want to do is have a main menu that will send me to to a track menu to pick the clip I want to play. I got all that to work and burned the disc. Popped it in the player and brought up a clip and it played fine. The problem is it won't go back to any of the menus to pick another clip. When you hit a menu button it just comes up with the circle with a line in it. Anyone know the solution besides upgrading to a newer version?

Check what action you have it set to peform at the end of each clip.

Test it on the HDD using a good software player (note: WMP is NOT a good software player)

Worst case, run it through shrink with no compression to remove any PUOs.
