I have a set of DVD files (bup, ifo, vob) for a movie that I want to burn to DVD. I've done this successfully before with no problem.
With this set of files, I add the files to NeroExpress 6, and then click the 'Next' button to go to the screen where I should be able to click the "Burn" button to begin the burning process.
However, when I get there I find that the "Burn" button is grayed out and will not function. I get no error messages or anything.
Like I said, I've done this exact same process successfully several times. What's wrong this time? Is it something that I'm overlooking?
Or is it a problem with the files I'm trying to burn? They are files that I downloaded from a newsgroup, and as far as I know they are complete and not corrupted. I ran the PAR program when I downloaded them, and no repair was needed.

Yes, there is a proper size blank disc in the drive, but it's not a dumb question; I have found myself doing similar things at times.

Do you have the right drive selected?

Eureka! I figured it out. I still don't know why this time was different, but there you go.
I don't know if you use Nero, but this is what the normal process was:
I open Nero. I open NeroExpress. I tell it I want to burn DVD files.
At this point I am seeing a screen that shows a folder titled 'NEW' that contains an AUDIO_TS folder and a VIDEO_TS folder, and I'm instructed to "Add your DVD Video files to the Video_TS folder".
So I click 'ADD' and a browser window opens, and I browse to the desired files. I distinctly remember that in the past I highlighted the files and dragged them to the VIDEO_TS folder, and then proceeded successfully with the burn.
However, this particular set of files didn't seem to be cooperating. Here's what I found after playing around some:
I dragged the files to the VIDEO_TS folder (so I thought), and then I opened it to see if they were there. They weren't, which explains why the BURN button was grayed out; there was nothing to burn.
Playing around some more I discovered that if instead of trying to drag & drop the files to the VIDEO_TS folder, I either open or highlight the VIDEO_TS folder, and then use the ADD button in the browser window after highlighting the desired files, everything works just fine.
Thought you might like to know in case someone else stumbles on this problem.
Thanks for your time.
