    Hi everyone

I have 2 AVI files. One file's audio volume is much louder than the other's. I plan to covert these AVI files to VOB files and author them onto one single DVD.

How can I fix the difference in audio levels?

I use DivXToDVD to convert the files.

    Thanks

you could normalize the audio or lower the volume with goldwave, open the avi, normalize ( read http://www.unterzuber.com/dubbing%20albums%20to%20cd.html scroll down to normalize ) or just lower the audio and then save as wav. multiplex/add the wav to the old avi with virtualdubmod, www.videohelp.com/faq#multiplex

    Thanks, Baldrick

So this means I will first have a seperate .wav file (from my current .avi file), normalize it, then multiplex it back with my current .avi file.

I was hoping for a somewhat simpler way.

For example, is there a DVD authoring software that allows me to normalize the audio of the .vob files which I will be authoring onto a DVD? In other words, after adding all necessary files into the video_ts folder, before burning, is there a way to tell the authoring software to normalize the audio parts?
