    Running ProjectX 0.90.1.00/30.09.2005.
Demuxed a 15 minute mpg file into m2v and mp2. Problem is that the audio and video gradually goes out of sync. At the beginning it is right on but at the end the audio is .9 seconds too early.

Demuxed the same mpg file using TMPGEnc Plus. Audio/video sync perfect at the end.

Anyone know which setting in ProjectX to change to get it to retain audio/video sync?

I'm running the version compiled with Java which I believe is 0.90.1. The 0.90.3 version says "source code". Do I need a compiler to compile an exe file from the source code? And is Java an intrusive software if I install it?

I want to get ProjectX working instead of TMPGEnc because Encore hangs using using a TMPGEnc demuxed file while the same file demuxed using ProjectX works OK.

    The weird symptoms are:

    21 minute mpg file:
    - Demuxed using TMPGEnc, Encore hangs when trying to create the timeline.
    - Demuxed using ProjectX, Encore creates the timeline fine. Audio/video sync appears to be about right at the end but hard to tell if it is perfect since it is only music background with no lip sync. But audio is no where near 1 second off if it is off at all.

    15 minute mpg file:
    - Demuxed using TMPGEnc, Encore works fine and sync is perfect.
    - Demuxed using ProjectX, Encore works fine but audio is about 1 sec too early at the end. Easy to tell since there is an action with a bang sound that is obviously 1 sec off.

Would you have any recommendations for a different mpg to m2v/mp2 demux tool? A different free one would be nice. I tried "demux" but the m2v file it created hangs in Encore using the 21 min file like TMPGEnc does.

    Thanks for your help!

DGIndex will work, if the source file is perfect.

    Just an experiment to try:

In ProjectX under "PreSettings--->Audio", put a checkmark in the following boxes:

check CRC of AC3 / MPEG Audio

    add frames

Tried it but no difference. Audio still 1 sec early at end.
    Thanks,
