    Got a benq 1620 pro three months ago, and have burned a bunch of DVD+R DL with no problems. I use nero 6.6 and recently Nero 7. now suddenly it is having problems burning the second layer. it stays at 51% complete forever or has a prblem closing the disc. I have now made about 7 coasters in two days. CD R still burns fine and Single Layer DVD is fine. I also switched the drive out to another machine to see if it was a Windows xp or Nero problem but the exact same problem occured. I'm guessing it might be the 2nd layer laser is messed up. any suggestions

    try burning with DVD DECRYPTER or IMG BURN.

    Nope, only one DVD burning laser. Nero probably messes up after the layer break. Try doing what budz mentioned. Nero was never too dependable for DL anyway.
