hi i have a files that im having troubles with audio
there both the same format audio when i feed them through gspot
    audio codec name: 0x0055(MP3) ID'd as MPEG-1 Layer 3
    audio codec bitrate: 128 kb/s (64/ch, stereo) VBR LAME3.92
now im having troubles with vbr as cbr i find it easy to either use the audio extraction guide and making a wav file or using avi decompressor to create a pcm file but for vbr it doesnt seem to work and when i try encoding it in tmpgenc and go to source range after loading the audio it still gives me a flatline without any sound stream
is there another program that works with vbr lame 3.92 layer 3 or would i need a special codec?
i have ace megacodecs pack dashboard and everything is enabled

Codec packs are evil! A safe way to wreak havoc with your media capabilities.

yeah but the thing is ive converted over 100 divx files over the past month and im only having troubles with the 2 vbr with lame 3.92
is there a special codec for this?
tmpgenc gives me a flat line in sound range so if i convert and burn i wont hear the audio right?

VBR audio in avi is always a PITA for almost any encoder.

I assume, from what you wrote on your first post, you already tried VirtualDub/Mod with no success.

I usually resolve those hard issues with VBR audios using either Goldwave either Graphedit.

    Good luck.
