    ok, i have some divx .avis that i am trying to convert to mpeg with tmpgenc however, even after i change the audio from mp3 to pcm tmpgenc gives me an error saying, "can not open, or unsupported". i have searched the forums on this, and found one probable fix. i am trying to do this on my new pc (winXP home) that only has the new 4.12 divx codec installed, and not the 3.11 divx codec. with my old pc everything worked fine. i was wondering if i installed the 3.11 divx codec would it work under winXP home?

    This is what you should do:

    1. Uninstall/Remove version 4.12 of the codec from your system
    2. Install version 3.11
    3. Reinstall version 4.12
