To be very brief.. using S-Video, I'm going from:
JVC VHS/Pioneer LD --> Feral TBC -- JVC DVD recorder.
Was doing OK until about ~1 week ago when all of the sudden I started getting a bright horizontal band/streak/noise (~2" thick, measured vertically) across the top of all my xfr attempts. Wish I could post a pic of it, but don't know how to do that.. The band is brighter than the rest of the video and it flickers pretty rapidly.
After troubleshooting, it's definitely the TBC that's causing this, as I do not get the band when going directly from my source player to the JVC recorder. I've tampered with the TBC's settings, tried different outlets thinking it c/b a grounding issue... TBC was fine but the settings were reset after a power outage couple of weeks ago.
Can someone tell me what the problem may be/is or provide more troublshooting tips? And of course, suggest a solution? Thanks much.
